Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

(Please indicate arrival time at the airport) Hello and welcome to Tanzania. Upon arrival at the airport, our driver-guide will be waiting for you. After the briefing, you will drive to Arusha town for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park - Full Day Safari

After breakfast, you will drive to Tarangire National Park in a 4x4 vehicle for a game drive. You will carry picnic lunch boxes. The park, founded in 1970, is named after the Tarangire River, a permanent source of water that attracts a variety of wildlife. It is famous for its majestic baobabs and large herds of elephants. During the dry season (July-September), the animals concentrate around the river, making it easy to spot them. You may see wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, Thompson's gazelle, eland, eland, elk and, if you're lucky, leopard. Lunch will be a picnic lunch in the park and later we will head to the Tanzania Bush Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: From Tarangire to Lake Eyasi and overnight in Karatu

Bringing a picnic lunch with us, we will head to the Lake EyasiThe lake is an alkaline lake about 50 km long. Its shores are home to leopards, hippos, monkeys and a variety of birds. Here, we will enjoy views of the Rift Valley escarpment and visit pastoralists. Datoga and the tribe Hadzabeone of the last hunter-gatherer communities in Tanzania. Later, we will return to the Mto wa Mbu to spend the night in a lodge.

Day 4: From Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we head to the Serengeti National Park through the agricultural land of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Serengeti is famous for its endless plains and its abundant wildlife. We will arrive at the central park of Seronerahome of the river SeroneraThe site is an important meeting point for wildlife. Lunch at the camp and afternoon game drive in the park.

Day 5: Full day in Serengeti National Park

We will enjoy a full day safari exploring the plains, rocky outcrops (kopjes) and valleys. We will see lions, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, gazelles and hopefully even wild dogs. There will be early morning and late afternoon game drives.

Day 6: Full day in the Serengeti centre

Another day exploring the richness of the Serengeti with early morning safari drives. We will search for wildlife in different habitats of the park.

Day 7 - Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater and return to Arusha

After breakfast, we will head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here we will go on a safari in the Ngorongoro Cratera spectacular setting with around 30,000 resident animals. It is an excellent place to see flamingos on the Lake Magadi and the rare black rhino. After a picnic lunch in the crater, we will return to Arusha for dinner.

Day 8: Day trip to Lake Duluti - canoeing and hiking

After breakfast, we set off for the Lake Duluti for a day of relaxation and outdoor activities. We will do a guided walk around the lake, exploring its history and biodiversity. Afterwards, we will have the option to canoe paddlingWe can also watch monitor lizards or simply relax in the area. Return to Arusha for dinner. Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to the airport.
